MUYBRIDGE

In 1872, former governor of california leland stadford, a businessman and race-horse owner, had taken a position on a popularly-debated question of the day: whether all four of a horse's hooves are off the ground at the same time during the trot. Up until this time, most paintings of horses at full gallop showed the front legs extended forward and the hind legs extended to the rear. Stanford sided with this assertion, called "unsupported transit", and took it upon himself to prove it scientifically. Stanford sought out Muybridge and hired him to settle the question.Muybridge used banks of cameras to photograph people and animals to study their movement. The models, either entirely nude or with very little clothing, were photographed in a variety of undertakings, ranging from boxing, to walking down stairs, to throwing water over one another and carrying buckets of water.

He describes his photographic skills as "completely self-taught." In 1958 while on a holiday in the USSR he discovered an interest in photography.he took portraits of people in their environment, which was a contrast to the method of other photographers at the time

create a boarder, image -canvas size.. change the width and height to how much boarder you want.

file- new - international paper- ok

get you blank page and drag your two images onto the page, re size them to your wants 

select the piece of the image you want to transform, then edit- transform- select which style you want

select  the small lined square on the side of photoshop and select half the picture(the bit u want) the go on to image adjustments and black and white.

quick mask mode - on the side of photoshop,select the image u want.

fantasy landscape

i took a picture of an item i liked and a picture of a background i liked and uploaded them to photoshop.

I clicked the 'quick selection' tool and carefully went round my chosen image.

i then clicked the 'edit in quick mask mode' tool and went round all the places i missed to get rid of the background, i also then added the color back in to the places i hadn't meant to cut off. i did this by pressing the small arrow above the 'edit in quick mask mode' tool. i then selected my image and copied and pasted it onto my chosen background. i held shift to change the size of the image. i did the same to my second image.

in the end i created this image ^^^^^

i used the 'history' tool to get rid of the bit of images i didnt want, this made the image look as though things were behind certain objects.

seung woo backs images are all based in the city as mine was in the fields. he uses buildings and famous landmarks where as i used a kids ride and a small rock jar. his images look real where as mine doesnt look as real as i could.

john gotos images are more like mine as his images look fake and you can clearly see that the images within the picture dont belong.

i was pleased with my image for saying how much time i had to produce it but if i could do it again in go in a different path a create something more believable. id also look for a better background maybe something more busier like in the town or a road. id also try and use more images inside my image to creat a more out there image.
